Today, we had the opportunity to work on an activity called, “Bricks for Kids”. I had an absolute blast watching the kids at work. The activity was provided by an outside company who is also running an after school program for students starting next Monday. I have sent home 2 fliers with your kids, so please, ask to see them, talk with them about it. It was so much fun seeing them engaged with these activities!
Our theme was “Amusement Park”. As you can tell from the pictures and the videos that I posted on the class Facebook page, their projects really ended up looking like real amusement park rides!
During the activities, they worked on their STEM skills, focusing mainly on engineering, and a little bit of science. Students had to design the layout for the park, and outline where different rides would be placed. Overall, it was a great lesson, and the students were very enthusiastic about it.
